Packed up my stuff and put it into storage, then relaxed and finished my book by the lagoon. At 5:30 my coach left for Rockhampton and Machak and I were on it. It was PACKED! Full of backpackers. Good thing I booked a seat this time or I might not have been able to go.

We drove into the night and into the rain. It rained pretty much from the time we left Airlie Beach until we got to Rockhampton. I heard the driver talking to someone and said that somewhere around here got 10 inches of rain. I'm not sure where. On the way we were treated to two movies to pass the time. We arrived in Rockhampton at midnight where I, and a few others, were met by a rep from the YHA who took us to the hostel. That was nice. I shared a room with a French girl who left very early in the morning.
