

Rumor has it that the route we are following is the Giro Tasmania 1000K route. Rob was quite pleased when he heard that. I think that I would need A LOT more hill practice before I ever attempted that 1000K!!! It would be a tough one!
| After Queenstown the bus travelled to Lake St. Clair where we were allowed to roam about for half an hour so I took a look at the lake and in the visitor's center. Then we continued on through to Hamilton. Hamilton is a small town full of old buildings which many people are trying to restore and turn into Bed and Breakfast units. When I arrived, Rob was already there and had made arrangements with one of the people in the town, Paul, to stay at his place. |

Paul lived in an 1820s inn which he was in the process of restoring. It was in a bit of a state of disarray but the restored bits looked really good. We spent an enjoyable evening listening to his music and chatting with him.
