Rode to Port Arthur. The first bit of the route was fairly quiet out to Seven Mile Beach, but then we got to Sorell and had to ride on the main highway with no shoulder and that was a bit ... exciting. We eventually turned off onto a pretty side road which deteriorated into gravel. I'm not fond of riding gravel and I found that my toes were curling as though they were trying to hang onto the bottoms of my shoes!
Just before we reached Eaglehawk Neck, the isthmus out to Port Arthur, we turned off onto a scenic route looking down the shoreline, then it was a long gradual descent to the penninsula.
We camped at Port Arthur.
And one other bit of interest - I saw a number of echidnas and they are big here!
