Cycled from Cairns to Mossman. Interesting ride, very, very different from Manitoba!! Sugar cane fields being harvested, ocean on the right side of the road, mango trees filled with mangos, everything green and lovely and so tropical.
We stopped at a road side cafe and looked at the beach. That's about all we could do - there were signs posted everywhere about the stingers in the area, and no one was in the water.
Once we arrived at Mossman we headed out to the Mossman Gorge. We were told it was the second most visited place in Australia. It was nice (jungle-like), but I find that claim a little hard to believe.
