Cycled from Canberra to Cooma along one of the main highways. That was a fairly easy ride as far as hills went, but we were bucking a headwind all the way. That area reminds me a lot of Kamloops or Nevada or something - hilly, dry, barren. Instead of sagebrush though, there was a lot of very dry, grey-looking eucalyptus trees.

We got into Cooma quite late, asked around about a campsite but no one seemed to know of any so we camped in an information center area. I hardly slept that night because it did look like an area used for partying. Fortunately we weren't disturbed although I think both of us were a little jumpy. (130 kms)
