I arrived in Australia safely in the early hours of the morning, made my way
through immigration, collected Machak (his box was broken a bit but he was fine), and made my
way through customs where Machak was briefly inspected and passed.
Then I met up with my friend Rob, who had arrived from Singapore a little while before.
We put Machak together outside the airport, discovered that my new seatpost was too long,
and made our way into Sydney (in a light mist), where we stopped at a garage and hacksawed my
seatpost down.
Then we continued on till we found a backpacking shop with internet access.
I sent my first few emails from there (for free) while we made arrangements for a night in a
hostel around the corner and discussed future flights around the country. After many hours of
sleep that afternoon(we were both very tired out from our flights), we headed out to find
something to eat and ended up walking about 8 kms around the city.
